Clandulla Cottages & Farmstay in Boyland, Queensland’s Scenic Rim, has always been about creating and sharing special moments, but this month, we’ve been reminded just how meaningful those moments can be.
What’s Been Happening at Clandulla
Life at Clandulla rarely stands still, and this past month has brought us one of the most special stays we’ve ever had.
We recently welcomed a very special return guest who is celebrating her 100th birthday here at Clandulla, alongside her 98-year-old husband and family. Watching them enjoy the fresh country air, watching the mesmerizing sunsets, spend time with the animals, and simply be together on the farm was something we won’t forget anytime soon. It was a quiet but powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
While we’re often known as a family-friendly farmstay (and we absolutely love the energy that kids bring), moments like this show that Clandulla isn’t just for families with young children. It’s for anyone who wants to reconnect, enjoy the outdoors, and experience something real, whether you’re 5 or 100.
Watching our guests — young and young at heart — connect with the animals, wander the grounds of the farm, and take in the beauty of the countryside is what makes this place so special.
At the same time, we’ve been blown away by the response to our upcoming Eat Local Month event, Little Farmer’s Day Out, which has now officially sold out. It’s incredibly exciting to see so many families wanting to be part of these hands-on farm experiences, and it’s given us even more motivation to keep creating moments like these.
If you missed out, don’t worry, we have availability in our cottages so families can get the full Clandulla experience.
Which Animals Are Stealing the Show?
Every month there’s at least one animal who steals the spotlight… and this month, we’ve had a few tiny new arrivals doing exactly that.
We’ve recently had a batch of little chicks hatch, and they’ve quickly become some of the biggest hits on the farm. There’s something about watching them wobble around, figuring out their tiny little legs, that captures everyone’s attention.
One of our newest little stars has already been named Strawberry, and safe to say, she’s getting plenty of love.
At the same time, watching our 100-year-old guest gently interact with the animals, taking her time, smiling at their quirks, and enjoying their company, was really special. It reminded us that connection to animals isn’t just for kids… it’s something that stays with us for life.
What’s On in the Scenic Rim This Season?
