We had the most wonderful stay, and our kids didn't want to leave.
Farmer Matt and Farmer Bok were incredible hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The absolute highlight for the children was getting to feed and cuddle the animals—interacting so closely with the friendly cows, goats, and chickens was pure magic!
Inside, the accommodation was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with plenty of toys and activities to keep kids of all ages thoroughly entertained.
To top it all off, winding down by the nightly campfire was the perfect way to finish each day under the stars.
It is the ultimate family-friendly escape in the Gold Coast Hinterland. We cannot recommend Clandulla Cottages highly enough and will definitely be back!"

Hibiscus House is equipped with everything you need for a baby/toddler/preschooler. For us the bed rail, huge baby bath and bathroom step stool made our stay much easier for our three year old.

Farmer Matt provides a great animal feeding experience and is brilliant at snapping a family photo. We all loved the animal feeding experience and all the animals were very safe to be around and very friendly.

Cottage is fully equipped to cook meals. Water is triple filtered and there is air con in the cottage. Ensure you bring your food provisions for your stay or there are local places to eat at Canungra as well.
Animal feeding is done twice a day (7am and 4:30pm) and generally you'd want to venture out to do an activity for the middle of the day e.g Mount Tamborine or national park walk.
Bed at the cottage was very lumpy and soft, not ideal for cosleeping but otherwise can't fault the cottage. Poor drainage in the bathroom shower but not much can be done about that.
Would recommend gum boots during animal feeding because your shoes will get quite dirty!

We had an absolutely wonderful time and did not miss a single farm tour and animal feeding walk. Our hosts Farmer Matt and Farmer Bok were lovely and accomodating and very happy to help with anything we needed. The animals are gorgeous, friendly (and patient), very well cared for and much loved which added to our enjoyment. Molly loved the horses, Roger was my personal favourite and my dad made a great impression on Tofu. :) Thank you Matt and Bok, we'll be back!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What an amazing place! The cottage felt luxurious and spotless, we loved how clean it was. Crockery and cutlery were neatly tucked away and in great condition. We loved being able to see the sheep and chickens right outside the cottage too.

The twice-daily farm feedings deserve a special mention. Honestly, they could win an award! We’ve stayed at farms and farm stays around the world, and this is easily one of the best we’ve experienced. I expected the feeding to last around 30 minutes, but each session went for a full 1.5 hours, with so much interaction, plenty of food to feed the animals, and even opportunities to take photos with them.

We especially loved cuddling with Herbie and picking up the chickens (Honey was a particular favourite!). Farmer Matt was fantastic at leading the sessions. He made sure everyone had a turn without ever making anyone feel rushed, which was especially appreciated with a less extroverted child in our group.

The daily campfire to roast marshmallows was such a nice touch to end the day.

It was such a wonderful experience, and my only regret is that we stayed for just two nights. We would absolutely come back!

Our accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and had literally everything we could have possibly needed. We loved spending time on in the outdoor kitchen cooking together and playing pool. Our kids (12 and 1) LOVED the animal feeding and farm tours with farmer Matt and couldn’t wait to get back out to see all their favourites every day.
