A NATURAL WONDERLAND
The Scenic Rim is the chain of mountains that surrounds the valley in which Clandulla Cottages is located. More than 26 million years ago, the volcanic activity in the Scenic Rim led to the creation of this spectacular mountain range.
The Scenic Rim is a touristic destination home to six National parks and a large range of Australian wildlife. You can spot kangaroos, koalas, platypus, goannas, cockatoos, kookaburras and many others.
Clandulla is located only 18km from Tamborine National Park, 50km from Lamington National Park and 60km from Springbrook National Park.
FARMS AND WINERIES
The Scenic Rim is also a very popular destination for its award-winning food and wine.
The region is home to many farms, producing a large range of products. These include fruit, vegetables, milk and cheeses, beers as well as a variety of relishes and wines. It’s actually a haven for food lovers eager to taste some local products and enjoy many different experiences. Have a relaxed breakfast in a small cafe, visit an award-winning winery, learn about farm animals and farm products or have a romantic dinner in a five-star gourmet restaurant.
EAT LOCAL WEEK
Every year, Scenic Rim “Eat Local Week” celebrates the food, farmers and natural beauty of the Scenic Rim through a program of festivals, farm gate events and culinary experiences. Probably one of the best times to visit the Scenic Rim and stay at Clandulla Cottages due to its proximity to most of the events.
