A NATURAL WONDERLAND
The Scenic Rim is the chain of mountains that surrounds the valley in which Clandulla Cottages is located. More than 26 million years ago, the volcanic activity in the Scenic Rim led to the creation of this spectacular mountain range.
The Scenic Rim is a touristic destination home to six National parks and a large range of Australian wildlife. You can spot kangaroos, koalas, platypus, goannas, cockatoos, kookaburras and many others.
Clandulla is located only 18km from Tamborine National Park, 50km from Lamington National Park and 60km from Springbrook National Park.

The Scenic Rim is also a very popular destination for its award-winning food and wine.
The region is home to many farms, producing a large range of products. These include fruit, vegetables, milk and cheeses, beers as well as a variety of relishes and wines. Quaint country village nestled only 10 mins away from Clandulla Cottages. Originally a timber mill town, it is now a popular destination for its natural beauty and friendly country hospitality. Canungra is well known for its vibrant cafe culture as well as its main street with its antique shops and art galleries.
Small country town located only 15 mins away from Clandulla Cottages. Named by a sheep farmer around 1841, Beaudesert also has a rich rail story, serving the meat packing industry with a line which ran all the way to the outskirts of Brisbane. The Beaudesert Community Arts and Information Centre is open daily and sells local arts, pottery and crafts. You will find cafes and pubs as well as supermarkets and petrol stations, don’t forget to stop at the Big Pumpkin to buy some local produce.
